Colorful Wednesdays

There are many definitions of color in the dictionary. The one that spoke to me was:
"The quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light; saturation or chroma; hue."
The quality of each of our scrapbooking pages is determined by many things; but one of the important issues is color. We always want our pictures to be pleasing on a page and so we often obtain that vision by using color. It can draw your eye right to certain pages when that hue and color have been perfectly pitched against a great or even poor photo. Color can also dictate what we will scrapbook. I know many girls who will go into a scrapbook store, see beautiful paper that they know will make an absolutely perfect page and then go home and take a picture of something just to use that paper. I know, because I have done it myself!!
Over the next weeks we will share many ways to get inspiration from color and we will challenge you in different postings to use the color we provide. We will give items in our world that can be used in our scrapbooking world. Today I would love to introduce you the monochromatic tones. If looking at this pillow there ae many hues of blue. Try to use these colors of blue on a page and if not blue than monochromatic tones in any color family. Have fun!!!
